Sales Agent
Key Responsibilities
- Client Consultation: Meet with buyers and sellers to assess their needs, financial abilities, and long-term property goals.
- Market Analysis: Perform comparative market research to accurately estimate property values and advise clients on competitive pricing.
- Property Showings & Listings: Organize and conduct property showings, open houses, and virtual tours. Catalog property details to create appealing listings.
- Negotiation: Act as a mediator between buyers and sellers to negotiate prices, terms, and conditions to secure a fair and favorable deal.
- Transaction Management: Review, prepare, and oversee necessary paperwork, including purchase agreements, deeds, closing statements, and leases.
- Networking: Build relationships with mortgage lenders, attorneys, contractors, appraisers, and home inspectors to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Lead Generation: Actively prospect for new client leads through cold calling, networking, advertising, and managing client databases (CRM).
Required Skills
Hard / Technical Skills:
- Understanding of local real estate laws, zoning requirements, and market trends.
- Familiarity with real estate marketing, Multiple Listing Services (MLS), and CRM software.
- Basic understanding of property financing and mortgage options to properly advise buyers.
- Drafting and reviewing legal property documentation and contracts.
Soft Skills:
- Sales & Negotiation: High-level persuasive abilities to close deals and advocate for clients.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly explain complex market data and build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Self-Motivation: Real estate is highly independent; agents need strong time management and the drive to hunt for their own leads.
Qualifications
- Licensing: Must hold an active, valid Real Estate Agent or Broker's license in the state/region of operation.
- Experience: 1–2+ years of proven experience in real estate, or a strong track record in general sales and customer service.
- Mobility: Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for property viewings and client meetings.
- Education: A High School diploma is generally required; degrees in Business, Finance, or Real Estate are a plus.
